Let's say a pregnant woman was a former abortionist or a nurse or medical assistant in an abortion clinic.
She's seen tens of thousands of babies on sonogram because abortion clinics use sono to determine the baby's age, size, and corresponding best killing method.
She's handled aborted babies' body parts.
Went through medical school.
Had to dispose of the babies remains as "medical waste."
Knows all the various killing methods more than anyone in town.
A leading expert on "women's reproductive rights."
After ten years in the killing business, she retires, doesn't renew her medical license...
and decides to abort her own baby.
She simply doesn't want a "parasite" in her body at this time. Has a new career move to pursue.
Do you realize that in every state with near-any pro-life law in effect that this mother can not only kill her own baby, but she could kill 20 more of her children --
and even livestream each kill on the steps of the capitol --
and she would GET AWAY WITH IT legally?
This is because near every pro-life law regulating abortion as "healthcare,"
whether that's a Heart Beat Act, a 20 week ban, or a "Woman and Child Protection Act,"
always, always,
puts in a clause that takes away ANY enforcement of the law for the mothers.
Just as long as they kill their babies by themselves.
And laws without enforcement for half the state (all women when pregnant)...
are as if there is no law in the first place.
This is why pro-life bills are not just unbiblical (regulating a crime that should never be regulated).
But they are foolish.
And completely ineffective.
If you want to do what's best for our preborn neighbors,
pull all your financial support from orgs that back bills with a literal "license to kill" written into them for women,
and instead get behind the "equal protection" (abortion abolition) bills being filed in something like 16 states now.
Equal protection is the ONLY Biblical and logically consistent legislative answer to the problem of babies being slaughtered like pigs...
in the so-called "land of the free."
Proverbs 17:15 – He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.

** This hypothetical was originally brought up by Jason Storms in a debate over whether aborting mothers are the "second victims" of the abortion and, thus, deserving of legal immunity for all women everywhere...
rather than what the equal protection bills offer:
due process.
("Due process" means that the facts of each mother's case -- if she should violate the law and abort anyway -- would be heard in court and an appropriate penalty decided upon, if any penalty is even appropriate at all, based on her particular situation).
